Turangga Farm’s well credentialed young sire Trusting posted his first Australian winner over the weekend with an easy Gold Coast victory for Trust Misty.

The three year old-filly relished the good ground to race away and win by two lengths over 1800 metres.

Trust Misty is the third winner from three foals to ace from Not Another Misty, who comes from the family of stakes-winners River Mist and Plain Magic.

Exciting Redoute’s Choice colt Glenall was the star attraction at Canterbury on Wednesday when he did in a race, what he’d been doing at recent barrier trials.

A homebred for Stuart Ramsey’s Turangga Farm, Glenall was initially trained by Peter Moody but transferred to the care of Les Bridge when Moody closed down his stables earlier this year.

The last crop of foals by ill-fated Northern Meteor have just turned three and there are bound to be some stars amongst them with the Sun Stud owned colt Northern Lion casting off maiden status at Geelong on Wednesday.

Trained by the Hayes / Dabernig partnership, Northern Lion did everything right to score a smooth three-quarter length win in the 1300 metre maiden against older rivals.

Scoring her first metropolitan win at Canterbury on Wednesday was talented Canberra trained mare Zoumagic, a $36,000 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale purchase from the draft of Turangga Farm.

The four year-old daughter of Zizou has put together a consistent record around the Southern Districts of NSW for the Keith Dryden stable, but soared to a new level when cruising home to win this Benchmark 71 event over 1250 metres by two and a half lengths.
