A $135,000 Magic Millions purchase for Triple Crown Syndications from the Turangga Farm draft, promising filly Bukzel became the 30th two year-old winner this season for her sire Snitzel when scoring on debut at Newcastle on Saturday.

Prepared by Peter and Paul Snowden, Bukzel was well educated with three trials under her belt and did a good job on the heavy track to win the 1150 metre maiden by three-quarters of a length as favourite.

A $65,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Frank Cook from the Turangga Farm draft, Zizou gelding Zin Zan Eddie is still giving of his best at age six as shown by his determined second in the Listed ATC Winter Stakes at Rosehill on Saturday.

Up and running at two, Zin Zan Eddie has been consistent ever since, winning five races and placing 11 times to amass prizemoney in excess of $455,000 for his lucky group of owners.

Breaking through for her first win at Doomben on Saturday was the Chris Munce trained two year-old Northern Meteor filly Snow Fields, a $55,000 Magic Millions purchase for the trainer from the Turangga Farm draft.

She appreciated firmer footing to score a short neck win over 1350 metres at her third run back from a spell.

"It was the first time today she had been on a dry track and she obviously appreciated it,” Munce said.

Scoring his second win at Hawkesbury on Thursday was the Gai Waterhouse trained three year-old Ready Already, a $160,000 Magic Millions purchase for Round Table Racing / James Harron Bloodstock from the Turangga Farm draft.

The handsome son of More Than Ready (USA) dashed through the soft conditions to win easily by three lengths over 1400 metres.

Ready Already was having his second run back from a spell so looks set for a good campaign for his big group of owners.

A homebred for Turangga Farm, progressive Hinchinbrook gelding The Virginian made a splash in the big leagues at Eagle Farm on Saturday when finishing a gallant third to Under the Louvre and Black Heart Bart in the $1.5 million Group I BRC Stradbroke Handicap at just his fourth start.
