THE Ramsey family and Gold Coast trainer Toby Edmonds have teamed up to launch an attack on the $1.5 million Stradbroke Handicap for a second straight year.

Scoring a tenacious and well deserved win at Randwick on ANZAC Day was the Allan Kehoe five year-old Nadeem gelding Ice Bucket, a $36,000 Magic Millions Session Five purchase for Beamish Bloodstock from the Turanggga Farm draft.

Ice Bucket won the Benchmark 72 event over 1000 metres by a neck under a good ride from James Innes Jr and has now won seven of 26 starts with 10 minor placings and prizemoney topping $176,000.

Scoring a debut win at Canberra on Friday in the Triple Crown colours was two year-old Sepoy gelding Midnight Soldier, an $80,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Turangga Farm draft.

First up over 1300 metres and taking on older rivals made it no easy task, but Midnight Soldier travelled up on the pace and fought on doggedly to win by half a head.

Promising Turangga Farm bred two year-old filly Marseille En Fleur made it back to back Doomben wins when scoring a tenacious victory on Saturday.

The Stuart Kendrick trained filly was third at her first two starts and then has won her next two taking her prizemoney up to $56,400.

Written Tycoon posted a new benchmark at the 2017 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale when his Turangga Farm bred and sold colt from Brilliant Bisc sold for $1million on Tuesday.

The star colt was bought by James Harron Bloodstock and is the first foal of juvenile stakes-winner Brilliant Bisc, who was bought by Turangga’s Stuart Ramsey for just $11,000 at the Inglis Select Weanling Sale back in 2011.
