Hong Kong champion Able Friend has been retired and will return to Australia where he will spend his days at the Ramsey family's Turangga Farm in NSW where he was born.

Able Friend (Shamardal (USA) x Ponte Piccolo) was sold by Turangga Farm for $550,000 at the 2011 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale to George Moore Bloodstock.

He joined the stable of John Moore, going on to be the highest-rated horse to race in Hong Kong.

Inglis is proud to announce it will be conducting a dispersal sale of one of Australia’s leading thoroughbred studs, Turangga Farm, on Sunday July 23.

An outstanding line-up of broodmares, all of which are in foal, will be offered as well as a reduction sale of weanlings and race fillies, giving buyers the opportunity to enter into some of Australia’s best families.
